| 2 | Quick Save functionality allows you to temporarily store the contents of your current Requisition and retain that information until the requisition is manually cleared or submitted. | ||

| 4 | **This feature ensures that your work is not lost if you log out or are timed out of PECOS before submitting your requisition.** | ||

| 6 | There are a number of reasons why you might want to Quick Save: | ||
| 7 | * PECOS has a **security feature** that will automatically log you out after a period of inactivity. The default time out period is 20 minutes. | ||
| 8 | * You may wish to log out and complete your requisition at a later time. | ||
| 9 | * You may accidentally close down your browser window and log out. | ||
| 10 | * Your network or internet connection may, inadvertently, be lost. | ||

| 12 | After quick saving you can safely log out. When you log back into PECOS P2P your saved Requisition will **automatically load**. | ||

| 14 | The system will also assign a temporary requisition number to a Quick Saved Requisition, which can be accessed from the Status and Order Tasks Page. | ||

| 16 | Only one requisition can be temporarily quick saved. Each time that you use the quick save feature any existing requisition that you may have previously saved will be **overwritten**. | ||

| 18 | Once you **submit** your requisition any quick saved requisition will be deleted from ‘temporary memory’ and the temporary requisition number will be replaced with the actual requisition number for the submitted requisition. | ||

| 20 | Please keep in mind that this is only a temporary holding feature. If you would like to save your requisition longer term then you can store it as a **Template**. | ||

| 22 | **How to Quick Save** | ||
| 23 | 1. In the Shopping Basket click the **quick save** button. | ||
| 24 | 1. PECOS P2P will confirm that this has successfully happened with the text: (% style="color:red" %)‘Quick Save Succeeded’. | ||
| 25 | 1. You can now safely log out. | ||
| 26 | 1. When you log back in to PECOS P2P, the system will automatically retrieve the saved basket. |
